INSIDERS TIP: Start hill training!
Right on our doorstep are some awesome trails so join Cairns Road Runners from 8am on Sunday 27 September for the Barron Gorge Trail Race. Two distances are on offer – 11km and 18km. Both start at Stoney Creek Road, at the carpark to the National Park. Both are conducted in a loop circuit, returning to the start via the McDonald and Douglas Tracks. The 18km takes in Speewah Campground and the 11km shortcuts via the Gandal Wandun Track.
Full course details can be accessed via the entry process. Trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Male and Female in each event. Enjoy!
