This Sunday 18 Oct sees the 1st of the 2 ‘Cock n Bull’ Freshie handicap series runs – The original Club Run that started in 1979, proudly sponsored by our long running sponsor of the event Cock n Bull.
Starting at Ryan Weare Park, the 5km course is a loop following the cane fields and Lower Freshwater Road. Mostly road shoulders and asphalt, there are a couple of multi-purpose pathways to keep you away from the traffic. A staggered start, on a quick 5km course will see runners start without wearing a watch or GPS and cross the finish line in an attempt to match their nominated time The event starts in the cool of the morning at 7am at Ryan Weare Park, Freshwater. With the weather warming up though, bring your swimmers for a refreshing cool down in Freshwater Creek.
