8km Trail Race, Saturday July 26th. Start time 4.30pm. Smithfield

Are you a road runner who would like an easy introduction to trail running? Need to blow away some cobwebs after a period of enforced or voluntary activity? Maybe you just want to run FAST!  This shorter trail race could be for you!                                                                          Starting at the same place as the Poker Race earlier in the year (adjacent the mountain bike trails behind James Cook University, Smithfield) this race is run on dirt trails through local bushland with a little hill challenge thrown in.                                                                                Please be at the start area to check in by 4pm so the race can be started at 4.30pm sharp. The light will be fading in the latter stages of the race and I’d like runners back before dark!          I would appreciate a little help with this event; help with check-in before the race start and help with timing and recording at the finish.
