Well done to all 92 runners who participated in the Rocks Race 3 yesterday. It was great to see the breadth of ages and spirit of competition as well as runners aiming for their own PB or just out to enjoy the scenic course.
Congratulations to the series winners: Tayla Gunton & Josh Anderson 3km; Hannah Hardy & Tony Vogler 5km; and Sue Houlihan & Dave Wall, 10km. Results for all participants are now published.
The presentations yesterday included special thanks to long-serving, committed Life Members Pam Palmer and Kev Morrissey, who were gifted club shirts (embroidered with ‘Life Member’) in recognition of their ongoing regular volunteer participation and support with almost all CRR races. Pam and Kev, you are very much appreciated by us all.
We were also pleased to have Kev Morrissey announce the 2016 recipients of the David Todd Bursary: Kali Houlihan, Monica Vecchio, and Kylie Vecchio. Congratulations girls! And good luck with future championship events.
Thanks again to all the volunteers, especially Colleen Harrison, who in addition to timekeeping and catering, also organised the trophies – something I forgot to mention yesterday. Thanks Colleen!
