It was a balmy day at Centenary Lakes for the 30th running of the David Todd Cross Country Mile. This race is traditionally held one week before Peninsula Cross Country runners head south for the state championships. 37 athletes competed, this being the biggest roll out since 2005.

Best performance was by Ollie Boltz who ran 5:23 which is the course record for a primary school runner. The miner places were Alex Welch in 5:41 and Riley Madder in 5:44.
Hailey Lynch ran 5:59 to win the 12 and under primary race. Minor places went to Dinithi Heenkenda in 6:08 and Ruby McMenamin in 6:09.
In the Secondary School race Chantelle Yelland ran 5:11 which is the third fastest time ever run by a girl on the course . It is equal to the time run by Megan Mansfield, a two time Australian Cross Country Champion in 1998. Clio Ozanne-Jacques was 2nd in 5:20 followed by Tayla Gunton in 5:36. The boy`s secondary winner was Joshua Anderson in 5:02 followed by Toby Gillen 5:04 and John Gordon 5:05.
